The collection consists of Randall Prevo's 415 page typescript autobiography in which he talks about growing up in Wyoming, his years stationed througout the world during World War II, his careers after returning home, and his life after retirement. Prevo continued to visit Wyoming throughout his life and these episodes, such as the time he briefly lived in Worland, Wyoming, after the war before moving to Stockton, California, are detailed in his autobiography. Prevo includes many details about his family and friends.

Randall Murray Prevo was born on October 15, 1921 in Casper, Wyoming, to parents William Henry Prevo and Florence Jane Moses. Prevo served in the United States Army during 1940-1945, and met his wife, Irene Marie Thouvenin, while stationed in France. They were married in Remiremont, France on July 7, 1945.
